The restaurant provides a pleasant ambiance, complemented by a nearby playground and adequate parking, making it family-friendly. Dong’s Kitchen is fairly new and located within a private property that does have signage but isn’t noticeable unless you’re looking out for it or know where it is. This place is easy to get to, whether you have your own car or motorcycle, or take a pedicab, as the area is near to a lot of heavy foot traffic locations. The atmosphere of the place isn’t like your typical restaurant. It has an industrial feel with cemented floors and walls, wooden tables and chairs, and a high ceiling. The neighbors of Dong’s Kitchen aren’t open so far, or they use their space for storage, so there are a lot of parking spaces on the property where the restaurant is. Even so, the inside of the restaurant is teeming with energy and conversation during the dinnertime hours. I enjoyed the service of Dong’s Restaurant during my visits. Staff are really friendly and welcome to recommending their house specials to you. If you raise your hand to call their attention, they will easily respond. Ask for extra cutlery or bowls, they will have it ready for you in a jiffy. I would call their food a sort of Asian and Western fusion. The servings are fairly large and will definitely keep you full, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality of food and service you get. Loved dishes: Cob Salad, Smoked Beef, and Pan-fried Salmon in Fat Crab Emulsion Eaten here thrice between November 2022 and January 2023.
I’m not sure if we selected the wrong orders but it was underwhelming (there’s nothing really special about the foods). The only thing I liked about our order was the salmon with crab. Stuffed chicken - good flavor and portion but dry Lechon kawali - small portion, should be called fried belly instead. Pork has a slight aftertaste. Peri-peri chicken - good flavor but small portion. I was expecting pieces of chicken but got thinly sliced chicken breast instead Chicken wings platter - love the flavor, good portion but some of the chicken has an aftertaste or not cooked thoroughly Serving time took too long too. They served each order every 5-10 mins? The first person who got their order waited a long time until all orders arrived.
good food. serving size is just the right amount. good ambiance. there is also kids playground nearby. Parking area is okay too, no need to park along the road.
Great place to dine! They serve affordable food, and their spring rolls and salmon are a chef’s kiss. I really enjoyed the fusion cuisine they offer.
Love the pulled pork and salmon main entrees! Tasty but not overpowering. The crispy palabok is an interesting take on an old favorite and classic filipino dish.
MUST TRY ... Pan-fried Salmon in Fat Crab Emulsionish Herb Crusted Salmon in Lemon Sauce Asian Fusion Baby Back Ribs Beef Wrap Lava Cake Mojito Definitely will be back to try other dishes. Nice ambiance and friendly service.
